Barrier Window Systems Inc. was founded by Mrs. & Mr. Armand Joseph Cadieux in 1977. Mr. Cadieux retired from the United States Air Force after serving twenty-two years on active duty. He and his wife started the business in the basement of their home with no other employees. Mr. Cadieux passed away in 2004, but the company that bears his legacy lives on.
Mrs. Cadieux still plays an active role in the company that she and her husband founded.
Anthony M. Cadieux, son of the founders, is one of their two children. He started working part-time in the business at the age of sixteen as a telemarketer. Upon completion of his bachelor's degree at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, he came on full time and worked as a salesman, sales trainer, marketing head, finance manager, and all the other jobs that the growing company needed him to do. He is now the company's president.
This is a family business that all members of the family contribute to. Many of the nine grandchildren of the founder's, have spent their summers interning in the offices. The founders' work ethic, knowledge, and sense of commitment are being passed on to the next generation. This will ensure that this family legacy remains intact, far into the future.
